Chapter 59

Arabella’s POV

Asher fell to the ground before my very own eyes. He was meant to duck and take cover, just in time for me to hit Alpha Nick with a bolt but Nick was a strong man. He was also a smart man as well. He ducked instead and left the paralyzed Asher to stand there. The lightning scratched off Asher's shirt, penetrated his body and came out from the other side of his shoulder. I screamed.

“Asher!!!!!!!!”

Time froze and for some minutes I could hear Asher’s breath. He breathed his last and then his body became still.

“Asher,” I rushed to him immediately as I ran over there and knelt by his head. I carried his head in my arms and placed them on my thighs while I was still kneeling.

“Asher, hold on a little longer please” I whispered and then I turned back to the woods to cry for help.

“Don’t even bother, as long as I am Alpha, the people from the neighboring packs will not come out. They know that I am here and they fear me. They would not dare come to save you”
