I just asked Hunter how he felt when he met his mate, and he still hasn't responded to my question.

I could tell by the look on his face that he was being reluctant, and I didn't like that one bit.

"Aren't you going to say anything?" I asked, trying to keep my expressions as neutral as I could because I didn't want him to know that I was upset.

I didn't know how to feel about the fact that he was reluctant to answer my question because his reaction was only making me feel even more conscious and curious to know what was going on in his head.

"I'm going to be honest with you because I feel like there's no need to deny the obvious. When I first saw her, I did feel some type of way, and I can't deny the fact that it was a feeling that I had never felt before, but it was only momentarily because I really can't stand the brat," he answered, and I furrowed my brows in confusion.
