I paced around my mother's living room nervously as several thoughts clouded my mind.

I received a call from Keisha about half an hour ago, and she informed me that a fight broke out in prison and that Hunter showed up as soon as he heard that his mate was involved in the fight and that she had gotten injured.

The first thing that I felt as soon as she told me was a strong sense of betrayal and anger because I hated that he would be worried about her to the point where he would hurry over just because he heard she was in danger, and what made things worse for me was when she added that he had even carried her in his arms even though she was conscious enough to walk on her own.
