Chapter 28

Dorian was silent for a long time, leaving my fear to fester and grow, the tears now flowing freely from my eyes as I sobbed. I shifted slightly on his shoulder, trying to ease some of the pain his bones were causing to my ribcage. 

he growled, tightening his arm around my waist. "Do you remember what happened the last time you wanted to get down?" He says.

"How could I forget?" I mumble, still having the scars from where he dragged me through the dirt. 

"don't get smart with me, Riven." He snarls, throwing me into the dirt.

I landed at an odd angle, my ankle twisting as he collided with a rock. I gasped in pain, slowly moving to sit up and stare at my so called mate; his face hard with anger. 

how could he be so angry with me? He is the one that treated me so bad that I ran away, beating me and making me bleed so often I still had some bruises that hadn't cleared up yet
