Chapter 30

After our talk Dorian went to deal with some pack business, saying that he would be back later to get us some dinner. He asked that I stay in the room until then, but he left me three books to read and some light snacks to keep me occupied.

I was glad that he was finally accepting me, even if he had a long way to go before I could fully trust him, it was a start; one that we both needed. I had so many questions about the pack, about how things are run here and how different they are to the way Jamie does things.

I was happy that Dorian was willing to make things work with me, especially since we were both trapped together because of the mate bond, it would have been a shame if we remained adimant on hating each other. I wanted a nice life, one that my mother would approve of, and even though he killed her and raped me, I was willing to give it a try.
