The Change

When I woke up it was still dark outside. Lucien was asleep next to me so I wiggled carefully inching my way out of bed. I dug in my dresser and grabbed the first tshirt and leggings my hands touched. Pulling my clothes on I was as quiet as possible, I wasn’t ready to face Lucien again. Opening the bedroom door I paused as I heard him move, I let out  sigh of relief when I realized he had just rolled over.

Step by step I took, almost as if I was a thief in my own house. With each creak I would pause and listen for any sign of movement. Halfway down I shook my head, fuck this I though as I continued down not caring how much noise I made. Once in the kitchen I poured myself a glass of tea and stared out the back door. I was about to return my glass to the sink when I saw the same little red wolf trot himself over to the shed and lay down.
