Sam’s POV
I was nervous as I followed behind Nikko to meet Lucien and his pack. It was almost as if I was the outsider now. How would I feel seeing Lucien again? Was he back to his normal self? Nikko seemed to think so although I wasn’t so sure. I had yet to hear his voice in my head. Was it because he wasn’t calling out for me? We had been in the caves long enough that he should have been able to.
“Lucien?” I sent it out as a question, one I wasn’t sure he would answer.
“I’m here. Are you ok?”
His voice in my head comforted me more than I realized it would. It was almost like the feeling of coming home after a long day. “I’m fine. Are you ok?”
“I’m back to normal if that is the question. No more talking. Concentrate. I don’t know what will happen.”

Lucien’s POVNo one moved, no one knew what to do. So far the entire pack was obeying my command. My father was yelling hysterically angry that no one was listening to him. Samantha’s POVDamien and I sat on the porch looking out at the night waiting on any word from Lucien. The night was quiet but my mind was full of voices, voices that were not my own. I couldn’t place them, I couldn’t quiet them down.
