Chapter 115

“No! No!” I yelled frantically as I shook his shoulders while my body shook uncontrollably.

The rain mixed with my tears, clouding my vision even more, and I wiped my eyes with the back of my palm.

“Ares,” I yelled at him, but he wasn't responding.

His body turned as cold as ice and I shivered greatly.

My teeth clattered as I looked around, but there was not a single soul in sight.

Everyone had taken cover from the harsh storm.

Forcing my heart to calm down, I struggled to lift him.

It was more difficult than I thought, because I stumbled more than a couple of times, but I was bent on getting him to safety, and with that, I was able to plop his heavy body down on the passenger seat.

Tucking his legs in, I shut the door and ran to the other side.

Our bodies were drenched and soaking the chairs until a puddle of water rested on the carpet under our feet, but that was the least of my concerns.
