Emma’s Pov:

I quickly cleaned my tears so he wouldn't see me crying, then I went over to his bed and sat beside him. Liam opened his eyes a bit. “Hey Luna,” he said with a cocky smile. "Hi, handsome,” I reciprocated with a warm smile. How could he still be playful and flirty in his state?

He was sweaty and burning up, even under the effect of an air conditioning set. His state was too bad to be left alone. I could see traces of dark magic clustered on his chest; the more he didn't get healed, the more the dark magic kept moving around in his body.
