Who’s a liar?

The rays of sunlight hit me, which prompted me to wake up. I laid in bed, staring up at the ceiling. I was drained; I was stuck with the events of the previous day over and over in my head. I couldn't believe the whole connection I felt yesterday with Scott; it was on a whole new level. I knew he felt the connection too.

I closed my eyes and tried to reminisce about the moment. But I couldn't put away the feeling of longing. I had never been this far away from my mom and little brother before, so I felt like I was drifting away from them and losing the connection.

I stood up slowly, still feeling groggy from my restless sleep the night before. I sat up in bed and rubbed my eyes off any remaining sleep. I heard sounds echoing from beneath, and I understood that suggested the rest of the pack was already up and doing.

I moved out of bed and put on a dress. I was still making an effort to get used to this place, so everything still felt odd and foreign. I hopped quietly down the stairs,
