Misunderstood

***Melissa's POV***

“Uhm, I wanted to ask if you actually sent someone to bring me breakfast.”

“Yes, I did. Anything wrong with the food?” He answered, still not looking in my direction.

“What? You actually sent someone into my room to serve me breakfast?”

He finally raised his head up to stare at me, but his expression was confusing. He was staring at me as if I had said something out of the ordinary. Now I'm even wondering what I might have said wrong when, in reality, I'm the one who has been wronged.

“Melissa, I don't think I understand what you mean. I thought you'd be happy you were served breakfast in bed.”

Was he kidding me? Melissa? Wait a minute, didn't he call me Lisa last night? How come he's calling me Melissa?

What happened last night was still obvious in my head. But why does it seem like he totally formatted his memory of last night.
