Chapter 44: Our Mate Mark

My body is exhausted, but my mind is wide awake. I have been laying here for almost an hour just holding Divina as she sleeps. I am still in a bit of shock that we are fully mated. The bond singing along the tethers that link us tells me that it is strong. I enjoyed sex before, but I had no idea how incredible it could actually be. Sex with my mate all but obliterated any other experience I have ever had.
I am curious about what our marks look like, but don’t want to disturb her sleep and I am content to lay here for awhile longer.
