Chapter 82

Alaric’s POV

My footsteps echoed down the dim coordinator and the sharp pain I felt every time I walked down this part worsened with every step. It hurt as hell as I approached Alana’s room, was it the guilt or was it something else? But, she’s guilty, isn’t she?

Apologizing was the least I could do after the punishment she had to endure. At least not as Alaric the leader but as Alaric the friend she does deserve an apology from me. As I neared her door, the murmur of voices reached my ears. Curiosity enveloped me and I took hurried steps to the door and placed an ear on it. A tinge of jealousy gripped me as I heard the voices in there. Why do I always find these two together but worst off, why do I feel jealous? I’m already engaged to the beautiful Ava.

The familiar voices of Alana and Jordan welcomed so many unwelcome feelings and thoughts inside of me.
