Nothing but a mess

I was calm for the whole while as I was trying to gather myself. I didn’t know where the tears were coming from but I was feeling very emotional and I couldn’t control my emotions.

He was very patient and didn’t rush me and instead he waited till I was ready to talk.

I sniffled hard and coughed before I finally found my words.

“It wasn't something you said, it’s just me and me remembering practically how my life has been nothing but a mess,” I said finally breaking down into tears again.

My eyes were already feeling sore and I didn't know what exactly I was supposed to do.
