At my slight diversion the first lioness launched an attack. I swung my palm and the impact threw it towards another end.

I grumbled and with aggression I played the offensive. I caught one of them and squashed the lioness under my large paws as I ripped off her gut.

They all pounced on me with fierce bight. I groaned aloud in pain, throwing my hand back and forth until finally I caught one of them.

I fastened my claws into the lioness' back and when she lost hold of my skin I pulled her down to the floor with a fatal punch.

The battle went on and on as our roar and groaning echoed in the forest under the night sky. I persevered enduring the pain until one after another I took them all down, ripping their gut out and breaking their neck.

Breaking the neck of the last one of them I looked around to ensure we were safe. When I could no longer sense danger I turned back to the tree to see Maxwell coming down.
