STRANGE ORPHANS

I walked into one of the largest eatery in the city that night as I settled down on a chair. The place was comforting and the ambient music served as a distraction to the worries that filled my mind. There were a lot of persons present than I had expected because the current status of California will not support this setting, at least not with the mass terror that is ongoing in the city.

“Excuse me sir,” a waiter said as I lifted my gaze to meet her cheerful smile.

“Yes.”

“Is there anything you would like to be offered?” she asked.

“A glass of wine will do,” I answered and immediately after my comment she left. As soon as she moved away I spotted a young man walk in with a fair young lady. They both looked wealthy but what caught my attention wasn’t their uniqueness rather it was the strange atmosphere I felt at their presence. I could tell immediately that they weren’t human but I was not able to tell whether they were vampires, werewolves or witches.
