My eyes widened in shock. "I must make you carry my pup, Bella, for my brother to leave you alone." Immediately I stepped back away from Marcel, staring at him, frightened, while my heart raced heavily in my chest. All along, I knew there was a secret to why the Alpha needed a concubine. Something didn't feel right the day Luna Trina chose me for her alpha mate. I felt it. It was not usual for a Luna to share her fated alpha mate with another she-wolf. Also, Luna Trina was a beautiful she-wolf any wolf would be happy to have, which again made it quite odd for an Alpha to want to share his home with a mistress. We cuddled in bed after such a sensual moment. "I'll hold you forever," Marcel told me as he squeezed me into his arms. I smiled and turned to kiss him. "I have something I want to give you," he said and quickly jumped out of bed, naked. "What is it?" I asked, sitting up and watching him quickly searching a drawer for something. He returned to me holding a piece of white silky clothing. He sat beside me and started to unwrap it revealing what was inside. "This once belonged to my grandmother, then my mother," he said. I stared at a beautiful gold necklace with a small, golden heart pendant. "It's beautiful," I told him. Marcel threw aside the silky cloth and went behind me. My body became still. "Before my mother died, she told me I should give this to that special she-wolf in my life and now I'm gladly doing that," he said to me as he placed the necklace around my neck. My hand gently touched the shiny smooth pendant, and I felt so special. I spun around and he kissed me.

I had been pacing around the room since Marcel had gone off to put a stop to the rogues attacking our land. I had gone to the window several times, peeking anxiously to see him return. I was shaking non-stop, worrying about him and pleading to the Moon Goddess to protect him. Marcel was a great warrior and had always won every battle he was a part of. Still, that didn’t help me. I couldn’t help worrying. What if this was the time, he’d be unsuccessful in his battle, and I’d lose him forever. I ran over to the bed and sat down, petrified by the horrible thought. My feet quivered. I tried to gain confidence, believing that Marcel was okay and had everything under control. The more I tried to think positively, the more dark thoughts filled my head of him lying on the ground, helpless and taking his last breath. I shook my head and ran over to the window. It'd been hours since Marcel had gone. It felt like years. I wanted him to return to me so badly. I needed to know if he was okay. "

My eyes slowly opened as I regained consciousness. Luna Trina was still in the cell. She sat sadly on the small mattress. Her back was against the dirty, cold unpainted wall.
