The Alpha's Fated Omega Chapter 48- Valen
Wren and I are getting ready to head to Graven, Anisa, and Candi’s mating ceremony. Candi is going to give birth any day now. I don’t know why they waited so close to the baby being born for them to have their mating ceremony. I would have had the mating ceremony done long before. The only reason I can think of is that it allows them to mark her during the ceremony instead of after. Omegas, while pregnant, can’t typically handle being marked because it awakens their wolf, which can put a lot of stress on their body and therefore affect the pregnancy. However, Candi is so close to delivering that her wolf being awoken will only send her into labor. It will most likely help her to have her wolf awoken. It’s why I’m glad I marked Wren before she fell pregnant. It will help her during labor and after with healing to have her wolf. Omegas recover best after labor with their wolf. Things were going well, but now I’ve hit a wall. Wren was being very responsive to me until she got pregnant and was introduced to her pack as Valen’s fated mate. She’s even preparing to become Luna. Apparently, she and Valen are making changes in their pack for omegas. They are making waves in all kinds of ways that are grabbing attention. Of course, I’ve lost some interest in my cause because of them. I’m setting up a backup plan. I’m sending Becca, a young omega she-wolf that was close with Wren. I doubt Wren has said anything to Valen about staying in contact with me. I’m sure he might have warned her about staying in contact with her rogue friends. Either way, Becca is going to show up at Wren’s pack asking for help. I know Wren’s soft heart. She won’t turn down a sweet innocent omega she-wolf in need. I was peacefully doing my work in my home office when I got the mind link that some rogue she-wolf was asking for Wren. I knew instantly it had to do with the rogues she sought refuge with when she ran away. I had a feeling it was only a matter of time before one of them came knocking on our pack borders door, especially with us making waves with making changes for omegas. We made the announcement shortly after Graven completed his mating ceremony with his mates. We announced to the pack that Wren would officially be Luna and have a ceremony after the baby was born. We also announced that we would be making changes for omegas within our pack and making our pack a safe haven. Of course, we had support from Ian and his pack. We had a few other packs rally around our changes, and some even agreed to make similar changes. Turns out there were other packs wanting to make changes, but no one wanted to make the first move. There are those that are totally against what we are trying to do.
The Alpha's Fated Omega Chapter 51- Wren
The moment we enter the room I see Becca sitting in one of the chairs aroudn the table. She looks petrified. I immediately go right to her. She stands as we both hug one another, well the best we can with my giant tummy in the way. “What are you doing here?” I ask as we break our hug. We get into the house, and Valen still hasn’t a word to me. His silence is killing me. There was a time when his silence didn’t phase me. Sometimes I welcomed it. That was back when I thought of him as my cruel mate. We have made progress since then, and I enjoy the sound of his voice now. I find it soothing. I hate that he’s not talking to me, which makes me super nervous. Valen doesn’t say a word as he makes his way to his home office. I watch as he passes the door to the den. Wren is at home resting. I won’t let her leave the house because she is about to pop any day now. I wouldn’t be leaving the house, but I want to talk with Becca myself. Sara seems to think she is a nice girl. Sara doesn’t think Becca is hiding anything, but I’ll feel better if I talk to her myself. Sara and Wren are omegas so the will feel obligated to vouch for the young omega. It’s not that I don’t trust their judgement, it’s simply they might be too willing to help. Alpha Valen leaves my room. He’s an intimidating Alpha, but most are. However, Alpha Valen is mated to an omega. Happily mated to an omega too. He could have rejected Wren, killed her, or locked her away to use as a breeder while he took a chosen mate. It’s hard to believe they are fated mates when fated mates are rare. My mom told me that fated mates used to be all there was, but as omegas started to be rejected for chosen mates and our fates to be breeders came to pass, the moon goddess stopped giving fated mates.
