Eighty-two

“Ayla, please, make them stop! She’s going to die,” Oriana sobbed as she went onto her knees before me, keeping a hold on my hands. No, I didn't want my sister to kneel before me. Oriana wasn't responsible for Charlene's mistakes.

“Stand up,” I quietly said, pulling her up. She ended up crying in my arms and I didn't find it in my heart to push her away.  Not when she was this vulnerable.

“We’re sorry, but stop!” she cried, tightening her grip around me as her body trembled.

“Stop!” I found myself shouting, causing the warrior who was whipping Charlene to halt. I walked towards ‘my sister’ who was chained to the pole, and when I looked towards Oriana, I nodded at her, allowing her to approach Charlene. Nobody from Crimson was allowed to approach her without permission from the Alpha or Luna of Silver Moon.

“You're going to let me treat her wounds, right?” Oriana sniffed as she lifted Charlene’s head a little. “Please,” she whimpered. I only nodde
