“We need to be alert more than we already are,” Jorah said as we walked to my car. “These attacks aren’t random.”

“And they’re all related to Ayla one way or another,” I pointed out. Knowing that there were people out there who were trying to hurt my mate made me break out in cold sweat. “The warrior was targeted while he was running his investigations on her attack.”

“I think she shouldn’t be left alone.” I agreed with my Beta. If she was in danger, then I had to make sure that she had people protecting her all the time. I wasn’t going to lose her after all of what happened between us.

“I’ll make sure to choose the best warriors to guard her,” he told me. I loved how he always wanted to ensure her safety. Things between the two of them changed for the better; I liked the friendship they had and how he was protective over her.
