"Huh?" She said this while touching her face as if she had no idea she had a scar on her face.

"Oh, that..." She forced a sad smile and wiped away the tears that had begun to well up in her eyes.

"Can you tell me what happened to you?" He inquired once more.

"The night the rogues attacked the fortress, I... I got that. I... I had to protect the cubs "She said and lowered her gaze as he sighed deeply.

"Kira, you should be more cautious. With the rogues multiplying every day, it doesn't appear that the fortress is as well guarded as it once was."

"Thank you, Master Lucas"

He nodded as she walked away, in a hurry. He stood there, watching her walk away until she was no longer visible.

That's when he remembered the emergency Aden had mentioned. With a deep sigh, he broke into a little run, stepping heavily on the floor with such long strides until he reached the dungeon.

When he pressed his hand against the gate, it opened, and the first thing he saw was Bryan standing right
