Thanks to Patricia, I was taken to the infirmary. While I laid on the bed with a fast beating heart, pack doctor Ariana examined me. It was just me, Pat and her.

“Tell me the truth, doctor. Have I lost my baby?” I asked desperately.

“Owing to the way you bled and since the pregnancy is still early, there's a high chance you might have lost it,” the pack doctor explained.

My heart sunk at that very instant.

“No, no, please. This can't be happening to me now,” I shook my head as tears trickled down my eyes.

“Luna, I hadn't checked, though what I had just explained is a likely situation. However, we can never be too sure. For this reason, I need to check if what I said was actually true or just a scare.”
