*****Gina's POV****I walked briskly down the hall. I just couldn't wait to see her. Ever since the day of the interrogation, I've never had time to spare with her. As soon as I came into view, I saw Anna standing with her back against me. She seemed to have noticed that I was coming, and so she turned around to face me with a smile on.“Anna!” I said, chuckling happily. “Luna, it's nice to see you again and well.”I quickly rushed over to her and captured her in a warm embrace. “How I've missed you these long weeks.”“And so did I?” Anna replied, happily. “Come with me,” I stayed while taking a hold of Anna as I led her to my room happily. The moment we were in my room, Anna suddenly raised a brow at me. “What now?” I asked with a smile.“You live here?”“Sure I do,” I stated as I prepared the refreshments Patricia brought into the room. “Why do you ask?” “Because you are Luna and I thought you would be… Never mind.”I raised my brow, trying to figure out what Anna was trying
*****Gina's POV*****“She probably could be, you never know.”“I don't think so. I mean, she has no such dubious reason to want to eradicate my pack simply because my dad got married to his mate?”“Gina, don't be naive, please?”“Have you forgotten why Diane wanted you dead? It's not like you stole her man, rather she was the one who stole your man. Lied against you in so many ways and made you suffer for the things you never did. If Diane could do such to you and still try to kill you. Do you think Mrs. Margaret could have gotten a concrete reason why she wanted your whole pack wiped out?”I shivered when Anna analyzed the possible reason for my pack's fall. If this was the case, am I truly one step away from the enemy. “Gina, you said it yourself. Those masked men saved them, and Mrs. Margaret seemed to know them. What do you think this means? You should be careful from now on. I don't think this is right at all. The last thing I ever want to see is for you to get hurt.”“I'll try
*******Diane's POV*****“Mother, I don't think I understand what you're trying to say. ““Come in, Diane, I understand that you are clouded with revenge now, but I don't want you to get hurt.”“Why will I get hurt? Alpha Dexter has promised to help me, do I don't think I have any reason to be worried now.”“Goodness! Why do you only believe what that man says? What about me, why don't you believe what I say?”“Of course I believe you, mom. If I did not believe you, I wouldn't be here in the first place. But to be honest, you know that he's the man with the soldiers, and by doing so, he's currently the only one who could help me.”“Look, I understand what you're trying to say, but I don't feel good about this. Don't listen to everything he tells you to.”I stared at my mom weirdly. I don't understand where she was headed. “Mom? Is there something going on that I don't know about? I mean, at first, you were alright with the fact that I wanted to take my revenge. If I'm not mistaken, Al
*****Gina's POV****Getting to my former pack with my rightful mate, I couldn't help the smile that spread across my face. This was because we've had so many encounters here and yet, this was the first time we were actually coming as mates. The next second, I was filled with tears. I wished my parents were still alive and everyone of the pack members were still here. I'm sure the pack would have been so busy by now. Not only that, I could imagine just how happy the pack members will be when they finally see me and Cain walking into the pack. My mom would have lit up in excitement and come over to embrace me, telling me just how much she had missed me. My dad would have come as well. He would have called me his baby and probably whisked Cain away, so they could have done Alpha discussion. I wished this were how it had been. How happy I would have been. “Love, you're crying,” I snapped out of my imaginative world, taking a glance at Cain with tears filled eyes. He stared at me with
*****Alpha Cain's POV****I paced around the room as pack doctor Nancy examined Gina. I could tell that she had become weak since she had the vision for a long time. “Tell me, doctor, will she be okay?”Nancy took a deep breath. “She's quite exhausted, but nothing out of the ordinary. All she needs is lots of rest and thereafter, I'm sure she will be as good as new.”I heaved a deep sigh of relief. Good thing she will be okay soon. “However, Alpha Cain, you don't look good. I could see exhaustion written in your eyes, and you seemed worried as well. I think you need to rest.”“I will, but I want to be sure that my mate is out of danger.”“She is out of danger. You should care for yourself now, you know. Furthermore, I could tell just how much you care for her. Indeed, she's your rightful mate.”I tried to build a warm smile for Nancy.“You know I haven't thanked you enough for what you did. If it weren't for you, I'm sure I would have still been in the dark. Good thing you told me
*****Gina's POV****I stood in front of the mirror and took in a long, deep breath. I looked gorgeous, I must say. I never expected that I would look so pretty in a wedding dress. “Wow! The wedding dress we both chose is a perfect fit. See how beautiful you look, Gina,” Anna praised. “Indeed, Luna is the most beautiful bride I've ever laid eyes on,” Patricia stated, with a beautiful smile spread across her face. I also think I'm the most beautiful bride. But I'm afraid my head was filled with plenty of worries.“Luna, come on, give me a smile, will you? This is your wedding day, you should be looking the happiest.”“To be honest, not that I'm not happy. I am, to be honest. It's just that I can't stop thinking of the enemies. Knowing Diane has been saved and owing to my dream last night about Diane, I can't say for sure that this peace will last.”“Patricia, can you give us some alone time, please?”“Sure, I will,” Patricia immediately exited the fitting room. “Now tell me, what was
*****Gina's POV****Cain and I walked briskly to Luna Trish's residence. Earlier, while we were in the fitting room, Cain got a call from his mom. Luna Trish wishes to see me for something important. For that reason, Cain didn't have the time to put on his suit to see if it fitted. While we walked over to meet her, I couldn't help thinking about why she wanted to see me. I wonder what could be so important that she requests my presence so urgently. As soon as we got into the living room of Luna Trish's residence, I heard laughter coming from the living room. Cain and I took confused glances at each other. “Someone was seemingly very excited,” Cain muttered, which made me chuckle.“You're right about that.”We both walked into the room together, holding hands. “Cain darling, you're here,” just then, she moved her gaze towards my direction, and I was beyond surprised when I saw her lit up in excitement as soon as she laid eyes on me.“My dear, you're here. Come,” Luna Trish suddenl
*****Alpha Dexter's POV*****“Alpha, it's been confirmed. According to our spies, it is said that Alpha Cain and the new Luna are about to be wedded. “What? So soon?”“I think so,” my beta informed me. This can't be. I still have plenty of things to plan for. I cannot let this fail now. The wedding would be our best chance, and I cannot lose. Why did Cain suddenly push up for a wedding so quickly? Was it because Gina is his true mate? I know just how long it took before he finally decided on getting married to Diane. This cannot happen now. I guess I have to hurry. The fact that he's looking for me was the reason I had decided to pause. This way I wouldn't find myself in a trap or shoot myself in the foot. How come he never disclosed this until now? Was he planning to reveal the truth at a later time? Probably when the wedding is days away. He likely doesn't trust anyone as it stands. I mean, that is the only reason why he isn't announcing it this time like he used to in the past
