Chapter 35

Aurora’s POV

It was dark and I was beyond exhausted. It was an understatement to say that my body was wrung out of energy, but that wasn’t why I needed a long soak in the tub. Well, not really. There were other reasons. Other… Well, I didn’t want to think about any more reasons.

I also needed water. I needed to drink a lot of it.

“Why do I feel so tired?” that voice I had not heard in days spoke.

“Sia?” I called out my voice shaking with unbelievable excitement . “You are alive. You are alright!” A few tears ran down my cheeks before I realized there was no need to be overly emotional. “Are you alright? Are you hurt? Is there any wound …?”

My mind raced as it frantically tried to comprehend what happened.

“Aurora?” I heard Sia my werewolf voice call out in my head with uncertainty . “What’s wrong with me? What happened to me?” I could hear the pain in her tone and knew she must have been weak by whatever Luna used to attack us. The question made my heart ache.

“Breathe Sia, breathe”
