CHAPTER 52

RAINI LAVERNE

Another freaking day in this hell hole.

I wake up to an empty room and a sense of unease creeps over me. As I lay there, I hear the familiar sound of footsteps and before I know it, Bianca enters the room with a smug expression on her face. I let out a heavy sigh, knowing that her presence never bodes well.

"What do you want?" I ask her, trying my best to keep my tone level.

Bianca smirks at me and tells me that I have a meeting with one of the masters today. I groan, knowing that these meetings always leave me feeling drained and hopeless.

"I don't want to go," I say, trying to reason with her.

Bianca's smile fades and she tells me that I don't have a choice. She throws a dress on the bed and tells me to get showered so she can fix me up.
