Day 4

There was no improvement in her condition, but I kept on hoping. Every day, I would watch as they cleaned her and checked her vitals, hoping for some sort of miracle.

I was grateful to Ian; he had been running the pack smoothly. I could never have asked for a better friend, or Beta. Every day, he would come with a change of clothes and food and stay with me for a while.

I haven't seen my mother since our little incident. I know I have to apologize, but I couldn't bring myself to do that. She was also at fault. She had never liked my mate, and she was insensitive.
