“What the hell is wrong with her?”
I heard Alec speak, but my attention was fully on Kyra or Alexia. Though I wasn’t even sure it was either of them at this point. In a blink of an eye, she had completely changed. The once purely white coat that spread over Alexia was covered in a dark mist that was so dense, her fur looked almost black.
I couldn’t sense either of them anymore, even our bond had been severed. Not that I needed the bond to know that my love for Kyra was real. The wolf I was looking at no longer resembled Kyra’s wolf. Its eyes were pitch black, except for the green ring that held a resemblance to a lunar eclipse.
It was like darkness had engulfed her fully, leaving not a trace behind of what she once was, apart from the thing green ringlet in the center of her eye. She was more beast than wolf or human. Even her energy was pure darkness, it felt like death itself.

Hunter-Returning in less than twenty four hours had been difficult, although I managed. I found Caleb was still outside of Kyra’s art studio, I wasn’t even sure if he had moved since I left. Hunter- It was closing in on the sixth-month mark and we were still no closer to finding anything. Zeke had shown up a couple of times a week, but he stayed as far away from me as possible. Everyone’s spirits were down and I was trying to hold it together but it was becoming more and more difficult. I still couldn’t feel the bond, but I know it hasn’t been severed yet. The closer it gets to Kyra being transferred to Purgatory, the crosser I become. I was going out of my mind. I didn’t know what to do and we had gone through every book we had around the pack. Hunter-Still having a grip on Caleb, I pulled him back and shut the door. It wouldn’t be much of a barrier, but maybe it could buy us time. I tried to get Caleb to run, but he wouldn’t budge. Kyra- Where was I? It was too dark to see anything. Blinking my eyes, I thought maybe I just had them closed, but still, I could see nothing. My body felt numb, heck even my mind did. Was I dead?
