Zeke turned towards me and he no longer had his firmly planted scowl in place when he looked at me. Now he just looked tired and drained. He didn’t need to say anything for me to see the regret of his actions. I tilted my head towards him in understanding and just like that it was like the past six months between us was water under the bridge, for now.
It wasn’t that I hated him, well I did at one point, but we reached an understanding. Plus I knew he was just venting his anger because of his daughter. I understood him more than he realized.
