Chapter Seventy-One

The next morning, I was already up and around before Kyra woke up. For the second night in a row, she hasn’t had a nightmare. I was hoping that maybe she was done with them. I know our bedroom couldn’t take much more of her outbursts.

While I had enjoyed seeing Kyra knock the Alpha King on his ass more than once, I was glad that today we would be meeting to go over the prophecy and the book. I wanted to get a few things done around the pack before we met up and I wanted to make a few calls to see if anyone heard anything or found anything out about the Crescent Moon pack. It was like we were at a standstill and I didn’t like it at all.

As I was coming down the stairs, I heard a knock on the front door. I didn’t have to ask who it was, I could smell him. I was surprised he had the courtesy of knocking this time instead of just waltzing in. Opening the door, I found a very panicked Alpha King. I would have laughed if it didn’t
