There was so much energy, it was taking longer than it should, to get her to release the excessive amounts she absorbed. I should have known that she wouldn’t be able to hold onto the energy she received from me and converted it into her own. If she didn’t release it, she was going to explode, quite literally at that.

My focus was completely on Kyra, I felt the bed dip beside her and figured Hunter probably got through and he was a damn fool, but I didn’t have time for him right now. I was having a hard time deciphering between her own energy and the energy she had converted. If I pulled out the wrong source of energy, I could risk pulling hers out.
