My hand gently stroked the skin of her shoulder, sending shivers of excitement through her fine figure. She smiled then hauled herself onto my waist as I allowed her hands to explore the ripples of my chest, her grin widening cheekily with every motion.
"Anything else for you, Alpha?" She asked with a seductive voice, her teeth gently pinching the bridge of her lower lip. I grabbed her shoulders before I swiftly switched places, placing myself on top of her."Just keep talking." I replied smoothly, eyeing her body from head to waist as she squirmed slowly beneath me, feigning a struggle. She was a pearl, that's for sure. Slick blond hair, incredible blue eyes, a hot body with curves in all the right places. And yet it wasn't enough...A violent knock at my door interrupted our little session and pulled me back into reality. The hinges screamed out a squeak as the door swung open, my father's scowling face glarring at me through the frame.Fuck.I pulled myself away, allowing blondie to put her jeans back over her midnight black lingerie. With a wink, she grabbed the remainder of her clothing from the floor and skidded to the door, giggling beneath the pale blouse she covered her mouth with. When she passed by my father, she gave the respective greeting bow and left the room, leaving behind my father's icy stare to replace the warmth that had settled in the room. His black eyes pierced a glare at me while I laid on the bed, nothing more than my black boxers to cover me."You're seriously playing with my patience, Jace." He growled, brows knitted into a frown. "The entire pack has gathered outside for you, and yet here you are hooking up with some girl!? Have I not warned you already about such behavior?!- What I can't have a little fun?- Your mating ceremony is in fifteen minutes!" I rolled my eyes at his comment, bracing myself for his usual scolding words as I slid off the bouncy mattress. The mating ceremony. It's such a big deal for every male Wolf and despite its perverted name, it's much simpler than it sounds. Every mature female Wolf will line up for me— some may gift me an offering since I'm the Alpha's son— then I'll gaze into her eyes. That's literally it. No mating, no touching, nothing. Just a stare in the eye and hope for the best. And there isn't any way I can describe what the bond is. It just... happens. From what my father told me, I'll just know it.Afterwards, both mates can either accept or reject each other. No we don't instantly fall in love like most Werewolf fanfics depict and we don't have to fight an urge to mate on the spot. The bond is simply the Goddess' way of letting either wolves know they have found their other half. The one wolf who, in simpler terms, is their perfect match; their equal. It's like a holy match maker that only works once in your life.I zipped my fly and grabbed my shirt from the floor, my father still eyeing me like I was some grounded child. I knew he was pissed off and he had all the right reasons to be, but I knew well this was most likely my last taste at freedom before the responsibilities of the Alpha title came to claim me."You got nothing to worry about, Pops. See? I'm already dressed. Would you look at that! Still got thirteen minutes." I said, exasperatingly pointing at my watch in the process. He pinched the bridge of his brow in disappointment, breathing out a long sigh. "Just get down there already. And please, try to take this seriously, you know you won't be able to screw around with other girls once—"I was already gone when he finished his phrase. I didn't have time for his patronizing crap. I could once again try oh so desperately to explain it, try and make him see my point of view; Selene knows it be a waste of time.I walked down the swirl stairs and onto the first floor, buttoning up my black tuxedo with care. I took the first left and walked into the kitchen then took another left to gaze at myself in the large mirror by the fridge, examining every inch of my suit with care. Jet black hair, tan skin, black vest with a white blouse beneath and black pants. Not a lot of color but it did it's job well."Admiring yourself?" A familiar voice snickered from behind, abruptingly pausing my grooming session with an internal groan from my part. I gazed above my shoulder as a tall, muscled man walked in."How's the Star boy doing this morning?" He smirked, spliting his lips into a smile that revealed his pearl white teeth.A groan escaped my throat, mirroring my Wolf's exasperated growl. 6'5, blond, blue eyed and a body rippled with muscles, as the son of the pack's Beta, Cade here was my designated bodyguard since I could remember. Although he took his job incredibly serious, he was nothing more than a glorified babysiter and my father's very own lap dog...I was pulled away from my reflection as Cade's trunk size of an arm locked around my neck, nearly squeezing my throat closed; if I didn't know any better, I'd say he was trying to kill me. Nonetheless, I allowed myself to be dragged from the kitchen to the living room, almost tripping over the deer skin covering the oak floor.Perks of being born in a rich family; every deer skin rug tries to get it's revenge by nearly tripping you into the corner of a table. At last, I was released from Cade's iron grasp as he turned his attention elsewhere. I for once turned my focus onto my suit, swiping my hands over the fabric to smoothen out any new wrinkle I could find. The sweet sound of laughter rose to my ear and pulled me out of my grooming as I noticed the presence of a red haired woman in the room, only now noticing how she cuddled up to Cade.I would be lying if I wasn't taken aback by her looks at first, holding myself back from whistling at the sight; this woman was drop dead gorgeous. Curly red hair, cherry red lips, pale skin and chiseled jaw hilighted by dark green glasses. Adding the skin tight silk dress she wore, her looks were enough to make any wolf go absolutely crazy. Her smile seemed even more heavenly, mirroring that of an Angel.I awkwardly shifted my weight from one leg to the other, clearing my throat when it seemed the two lovebirds wouldn't let each other go. They pulled their lips apart, yet their eyes trailed into each others for many more seconds before they finally turned their focus to me as if they has suddenly remembered I existed.Cade's smile somehow managed to grow even wider as he spoke, a hint of guidiness coloring his every word. "Jace, I'd like you to meet—- Alexandra!" I swallowed the venom that laced my tongue as I spoke her name, suddenly recognizing her features from a distant memory. In fact, she and I had crossed paths quite a few times before; daughter of the Western pack's Beta, Alexandra was a University transfer student, the first transfer our pack had accepted in decades. Apparently her grades were enough to impress the old man so he'd make an exception and allow her to study alongside our pack mates.May I add, although she was smart, Alexandra never saw eye to eye. Something about her always... Urked. Call it instincts as we Wolves do tend to be incredibly territorial towards outsiders, but I'd never expect her to become officially part of the pack judging how close Cade was holding her. And her... Oh Selene no, is she?"... Your father agreed it would be best I lay off my duties for a while. Alex and I will be taking some time together to raise how family."I blinked, snapping back to reality as their words came back to me. Father? Agreement? Family? Why wasn't I told before!? A sigh escaped the back of my throat, shoving down my thoughts and emotion to plaster a fake smile onto my lips.My tone however told a whole other story. "That's wonderful! Sure would've love to know amongst everyone else about your little miracle, but I suppose learning about my bodyguard's sudden hiatus isn't that important."Their faces went from joy to what seemed to be a disappointed confusion as they exchanged a brief glance at each other. I groaned, pinching the bridge of my nose before I turned heals and headed for the courtyard, deciding I was already fed up with today. "Excuse me, I have a mate to meet."A heavy silence fell onto the room as I walked out, my fists hidden inside the pockets of my pants. I only needed a few steps to reach the entrance door of the mansion, the tall doors suddenly seeking like a giant ready to erradicate me as I gazed up to its golden engravings, starting intently at the words honos, superbia and proposition.Honor. Pride. Purpose. Words that had been hammered into every young Selene Wolf's skull from the day they are born.I breathed in the fresh morning breeze, relishing the distinct taste of dew and perfum coating my tongue as the large doors cracked open, revealing the line of females patiently waiting to greet me. I opened my eyes, starring intently at the females as they all fell quiet as I took my first step down the marbled stairs.Today I will find my purpose.-*-Thank you for reading! Hope you enjoyed the chapter 😊And to the returning readers, don't be afraid to tell me your thoughts on this new take with the story. I personally feel Jace's parts are gonna need the most change but I'm satisfied with this strong beginning!Take care readers ✨Within the hour, the smells of concrete and smoke washed over my senses, irritating my eyes and nostrils; I've made it to the village. It was a small town tucked a little away from city life, perfect spot for a pack of werewolves to settle down and blend amongst them. Hiding in plain sight I guess.Closing in the edge of the village, I found myself facing a bit of a dilema; I couldn't just waltz into the town like this, I'd cause a massive panic and jeopardize our kinds secrecy! However, hiding in a bush held quite the risk of being exposed half naked or caught mid transformation...There. My Wolf turned our attention to a small alleyway between two buildings where a huge dumpster resided filled to the brim with trash. A groan rose at my throat at the thought of the smell assaulting my nose. No way I'm hiding behind that! I'd risk getting my dress dirty and smelling like an absolute mess. There had to be somewhere else... A door swung open, the smell of sweat, cigarettes and booze pou
I stared at the unconscious girl laid on the ground, wide eyed and speechless. That feeling when our eyes met... no... it couldn't be! My Wolf wagged his tail while I eyed the female and his reaction boiled the blood in my veins. Mate! Mate! I growled at his words and shunned him down so I could no longer hear his voice calling her out. Still, I couldn't hide my shock. Two girls exchanged a few words behind me and a giggle escaped their pathetic throats. I glarred over my shoulder, eyes winced in their direction. "If you have anything to say, say it to my face." Instantly, their mouths closed shut and they averted their gaze. Hmph, Serves them right. "CADE!" My voice boomed through the area, as my bodyguard quickly answered my call, trekking his way towards me through the crowd. "Yes Sir? - Bring the female inside. She needs medical attention." I couldn't even look at him. My eyes were glued onto the girl... I still couldn't wrap my head arou
Pain was the first thing to greet me upon my wake. Every muscle in my body ached from intense fatigue, screaming in protest at the mere thought of moving, followed by the buzzing sensation of a painful migraine settling between my ears. Vision blurred, I could barely crack my eyes open as light poured into my pupils, assaulting my senses. The smell of smokey oak and pine sap gently tickled my nose, at first a welcoming scent until I realized something was utterly wrong. I shot up and looked around at the room, first noticing the black bricked chimney who's belly was lit with a gently burning fire. The flames licked and flickered with grace, casting its dim light into the large room.Where am I? Searching the back of my mind, I nearly leaped out of my skin when a man raked his throat, pulling my attention to the far side of the room where he sat calmly on a wooden chair, elbows pressed onto his knees. As my knees pulled to my chest, he remained utterly silent, emerald eyes examining me
I stormed through the door frame, not caring to close the door behind as I allowed my legs to guide me to the nearest washroom. My temples boomed to the sound of my beating heart, drowning out my chaotic thoughts. Sweat pearled down my neck and back, ice cold against the warmth of my skin. I leaned above the sink, feeling as though I was about to vomit. The fuck was that!? What was I thinking? How could I let my guard down like and give in to such a sin!? Father's going to kill me if he finds out... and yet, despite my logical thoughts, the wolf seemed to be in a state of pure glee, enthralled by that kiss. It wanted more... it craved the Omega, wished to relish in her scent and claim her.A sense of ease and comfort washed over me as I allowed myself to give in to the wolf's desire for a split second. Lust, envy and longing settled into my mind as I began to crave for her touch and affection, envy the sensation of her skin against mine-...No. No, no, NO! Glass shattered onto the flo
I held my chest, trying to calm my beating heart. I'd been waiting at the dining table for half an hour when a shatter echoed from the other side of the mansion. Cade instructed me to stay put while he checked things out, only to return a few minutes later with an unreadable look on his face. He seemed distant, lost in the sea of his own thoughts as he stationed himself beside me. I remained quiet, unsure what to say or do while a set of footsteps resonated from the end of the hallway connecting the entrance to the dinner room. Gazing up, I spotted Alexandra calmly approaching us, curly red hair bouncing beautifully over her shoulders. Her cherry red lips lifted into a warm and welcoming smile, which I returned with a shy but thankful grin."I see you two have met!" She chirped happily, hoisting herself into her tiptoes to kiss Cade's lips. Then, wrapping her arms around his, she turned to me. "Sorry about the long wait hun, Xavier and Jace had a little..." Muffled words shouted from
I glared from my window, starring at Cade when I spotted him walking throught the backyard with that thing at his side, as both giggled and smiled like kids on a play date. I felt my Wolf purr at the sight of the Omega, but I shun him down. I hated when he admired that pathetic excuse of a Wolf. It reflected onto my feelings and made me gain a certain admiration for her, making me feel sick. Everyone acted so sweet around her, like she was some sort of miracle child. Pathetic. She was nothing more than an abomination who's life worth little to— "Jace." A slick, black reddish male walked into my room, ripped jeans and leather jacket contrasting his edgy look. I groaned, annoyed as I recognized the wolf by his snarky voice as Ryder, one of the Pack's elite Scouts and Cade's second in command. He was the kind of person that ticked me off by simply breathing the same air I did. Emo look, hot headed, always questioning orders or calling me by my name rather than my title
"And here, we have the garden." I gasped as Cade brought me to the entrance of a beautiful hedge garden, the walls filled with all kinds of colorful plants and flowers. I never knew this place had a garden! A gorgeous one at that. I walked through the first alley, grazing my hand through the lush greenery. Roses, tulips, lavenders, marguerites and many more plants I couldn't identify. But they were still incredibly beautiful. I smiled, wonder floating in my mind. All these foreign plants and flowers, they had so many different shapes and colors! And each had it's unique scent, it was amazing! For an Omega who's lived in the woods all her life, this was a real jewel to see. A pang hit my chest while my thoughts drifted to my mother. She loved flowers... and she would've loved to see this garden.
"Don't move." The voice chilled the blood in my veins and I herd someone cock and charge their gun. Slowly, I turned my head and almost bumped my snout into the barrel of a loaded shotgun, it's holder gazing down at me with menacing eyes. A sinister smile lifted his lips. "Oh Alphas' gonna love this. OVER HERE! I'VE GOT- AAARGH!!!!" A white blurr suddenly jumped from the bushes and crashed into the male, sending him to the ground with his gun flying a few feet away. The white Wolf then plunged his teeth into the male's throat, blood gushing everywhere. I held a gasp, completely terrorized by the scene. I've never seen anyone get killed before! Sure, I've seen brutal scenes in movies and I was never very comfortable with them in the first place, but seeing a real person being murdered in front of your own eyes was a completely differen
