CHAPTER 29

ALPHA ROME'S POV

Staring at the shattered pieces of the artwork caused me grief. Lucille loved that artwork especially, that was why she hung it next to the door where she could look at it in our old bedroom. When I recreated it, I put it where it was formerly. I was torn between being furious with Frost and understanding it was a mistake.

Why was she there in the first place? How did she find the key? A lot of questions that I could have gotten answers to if I had simply asked her but I was caught up in my emotions and I didn't want to say something I'll regret so I asked her to leave albeit harshly but she got the message and left thankfully.

I pulled out the painting, previously framed with glass. Thankfully there was no tear when it shattered. I folded it and put it into my first drawer. I would replace the frame much later. I felt calm now and I closed my eyes. My door opened and Gideon entered.

"Did you send Dionyus up to my floor?" He looked confused for a second but he nodd
