"But, Caroline. How is the Alpha to you?" Ryder asked me as he grabbed the drenched robe again and stepped behind the mirror, going back to the earlier position.

My mind slightly buckled, thinking about the great King, Atlas. "He is so weird." There was no doubt that he was the weirdest guy I had ever met.

"Why weird?" His jaw pulled taut, looked mystify whilst he shoved the robe inside the pot of water, making it douser.

"He... shows too much interest in me." I didn't know if I should be happy about this or not but it was indeed a topic to be stunned by.

Ryder had scoffed as if it was what he was expecting. "Wow, and?"

I reminded all the things he had said one by one. "He said... I am special. He has somehow found out I am not married. And also, he broke his engagement with Kate a while ago."

His pupils seemed to flee away. "That sounds crazy. How did all these things happen so fast?"

Yeah, he was right. Everything happened so fast. Atlas grew his interest in me the first day we met.
