Atlas took me inside his room and shut the door after he locked it. A while back, his statements caused a significant amount of heart palpitations. My pulse was still beating at such a rapid rate that it drew me into a fascinating new universe. Because of this, I was oblivious to the specifics of whatever the heck had taken place and what he was doing.

"Listen, Caroline." His voice moved into my nervous system, chirping in the most pleasant tone possible.
