Bonus Story: Elara pt. 9

"A human!?" my father, Alpha Xavier, roars.

He Rises from his seat at the long wooden table. I can smell the anger rolling off him in waves; I know what is about to happen and wince. "You promised you won't get mad at me," I whine pathetically.

"When you said you want to be with someone other than your mate, I didn't expect you to say a fucking human," he growls.

I look in shame. "What's so bad about them anyway? They look just like us!" I say. Well, other than the fact that we can turn into wolves.

Alpha Xavier lets out a low growl. I brace myself for the worst. "Humans are weak," he snarls, "They're fragile, easily breakable. And they don't understand us. They fear us."

I bite my lip, trying to contain my frustration. I've heard this all before. "But Dad, he's different. He's not like other humans. He's strong, and he understands me."
