"Sooo..."

"So what?" I asked, annoyed at Lee who was wiggling her brows at me.

"What happened between you and our oh so notorious cold professor?" she asked, and I pursed my lips, dreading the images that transpired that night.

"Nothing happened okay? He just treated me for a dinner as a thank you for helping him get home when he was drunk. That's all. No strings attached." I made it clear with her, not wanting her to think of something funny.

"Ok then. Good," she said, crossing her arms.

"And speak of the devil," she suddenly uttered and I followed her line of sight to see Alec walking in on class, his hair slightly disheveled, and there was dark circles under his eyes.

I guess he also didn't sleep well.

"Class, today we're going to discuss the philosophy of life," he started, and all my classmates sat back on their chairs, ready to listen to his discussion.

"So can anyone of you define the meaning of life?" he asked, and I could see some of my classmates shrinking in their seats,
