My whole world as I knew it had just come crashing down right in front of my eyes. I couldn't believe Alpha Merrick had just confirmed that I was not my parents' real daughter, I was not a Rossi...I was an orphan!I was in shock and totally speechless, as my tears rolled down my eyes in streams.

"NO ALPHA MERRICK - BAELA IS MY DAUGHTER!" Father exclaimed, trying to reclaim his ownership over me. I have never seen or heard father raise his voice back at the Alpha. He never dared before but today was different. I was on the line.

I could see Alpha Merrick get up quickly from his throne to address my father. He looked surprised but his anger was not yet visible.
