Chapter 97: Nuts

I had succeeded going up to midday without being seen by Alpha Abbadon as I was led by Aria. All was going according to plan and I was glad. I had been walking along which was what I preferred but it was starting to get hot.

The sun was overhead, still trying to evaporate as much water from the surface of the ground as it could after the heavy rains 2 days ago. I was beginning to break a sweat and I knew it was because of how warm everywhere felt.

Luckily for me though, I still had enough shade from under the trees to keep me from facing the scorching rays of the sun directly but no matter where I hid, I could not escape the heat.

"I wished we had not been in a hurry to leave this morning, I would have loved to go for a little swim at the stream". I said to Aria, who was flying just ahead of me. She made herself visible to me this time around, since we were no longer running. Now I didn't have to rely on her voice for guidance but her presence.
