Alexander's POV

I went out for a walk in the woods. I sighed deeply as I walked through the woods leading to our hideout, my mind heavily burdened with the state of my pack. The last few weeks have been tough on all of us since Chris was almost killed by a rogue werewolf. He had barely survived, but his recovery had taken its toll not just on him but the entire pack.

For starters, the new pack dynamics had set us on edge, and we were all jittery around each other. It was as if no one trusted anyone anymore, and being the alpha, it was up to me to find a solution to this mess. I couldn’t let our pack be at the mercy of rogue wolves or other unfriendly werewolves.

I approached our hideout and noticed the gate was wide open. That was odd. I walked in and could tell something was off as the pack members milled around not doing much of anything. There was no training, no patrolling, no preparations for battle, nothing!
