~ Alister's POV~

Elijah's heart pounded against his chest as he surveyed the chaotic scene before him. The ground was littered with the bodies of fallen wolves, both rogue and from his own pack. The air was thick with the metallic scent of blood and the sounds of growls, snarls, and yelps filled his ears.

He noticed the path that Alister had cleared for him before he heard Alister’s voice in his head, “ go Elijah! Get to the pack house!... Go” Alister shouted through the mind link.

The pack house was the heart of the pack's territory, the place where they gathered and took refuge in times of crisis. It was heavily fortified and well-guarded, but the recent attacks had taken a toll on their defenses.

There were some warriors there, but most of them were either injured or not able to defend the pack house. Elijah knew that if the rogue wolves breached the pack house, the consequences would be dire.
