*THE CITY–HOSPITAL*

As soon as Tems called Lorenzo, and told him about Tinsely’s condition, he had to rush to the hospital and Lucinda said she’d follow him.

Lorenzo did the driving, and when they arrived, they both hurriedly got down and burst through the hospital doors, their hearts racing with worry.

Immediately they scampered into the brightly lit halls of the hospital, the curious gazes of nurses, doctors, and patients pursued their every move.

The air was heavy with tension as if the very walls of the hospital were holding their breath, Lorenzo and Lucinda's instantaneous footsteps resounded throughout the corridor, a symphony of urgency and concern.

Lorenzo's mind was filled with a flurry of thoughts, each more hysterical than the last. What could have happened? Why was Tinsley in the hospital?
