CHAPTER 23

Tynin's pace was hard to keep up with but I had to keep up anyways. With his firm grip on my wrist and the determination to leave this cursed place, there was no room for slowing down.

I couldn't help but notice how tense Tynin was. I don't think he realized that I noticed but he was always jumped at the slightest sound. Sometimes, a sound I couldn't even hear. And I was starting to feel bad about this. Involving him in my shit. I was the reason he betrayed his alpha and things could be really bad for him if he was found.

But I didn't plan to get caught so I continued running through the forest with him. We got a wide clearing and he came to an abrupt stop. Sniffing the area and looking around. I remembered what happened the last time I tried to run away by myself.

"What happened? Did we stumble on an alphas territory?"

He shook his head but chuckled. "How do you even know about that?"

"It's a long story. I'll tell you that when it's hundred percent safe. Why did we stop?"
