Chapter 34

I glanced around the corridor making sure no one was there as I walked down the hallway to Brody’s office. I was glad when no one was around, but that was due to the late evening time. I hadn’t seen Brody since we had had the whole baby/no baby discussion the night before, and I had missed him.

I swallowed nervously, scared for what I was about to do. I had never done anything as forward as I was about to do. I saw Charlie sat at his desk in the room next to Brody’s office. “Hey Charlie” I smiled at the older guy, leaning in the doorway to his office.

“Oh hi Alli” he said in shock, not expecting me.

“Can you do me a favour?” I asked him.

“Sure” he said, looking at me oddly. Charlie and I went close, nor did I think we would ever be. Lennon was one of my closest friends and just seeing what Charlie was putting him through made me slightly protective toward him.
