When we get to the dining room, I see that all of the ranked wolves are present. Alpha Cain is sitting at the head of the table. To his right is Beta Rex. Next to Rex is a thin blonde who smells like Rex, so I am assuming it is his mate. The chair to the left of Cain is empty, I guess he hasn’t found his mate yet. Next to that chair is Gamma Winston. Ramona moves to the seat to his left and kisses his cheek before she sits. It is rather sweet.

“Madison, please sit next to me.” Alpha Cain says, gesturing to his left.

“That is the seat reserved for your Luna. I am not your Luna.”

“You are correct. This is the traditional seat for the Luna, but I have yet to find my mate. I am not implying that you are to take the position, I just wish to have a conversation with you. But please, sit at the end of the table if it makes you more comfortable.” I tilt my head at him, curious about his kindness and courtesy, letting me choose where I sit instead of telling me.
