CHAPTER 24: INTERROGATION.

Tyler, calm as a running stream, grabbed the collar of the man's shirt and jerked him upwards. Since Tyler was so tall, the man was kicking his feet as he was elevated from the floor. “I will speak just once. Listen and speak properly. Why did you attack her?”

The man had fear written all over his face. His eyes were wavering as he tried to coordinate his words. “Because she is close to the Alpha--”

“What Alpha?” Lana questioned, stepping forward. “What Alpha? Who am I? What was I?” Knowing the truth, her voice quivered, anxiety overtaking her body. Lana briefly closed her eyes in thoughts of relaxing. She needed to calm down, slow her racing heart and maintain her body language.

Tyler perceived this fear but ruled it off as Lana feeling uneasy close to the prisoner. Her pounding heart was so loud, his wolf wanted to jump out and comfort its mate. Nonetheless, Tyler growled at Gael, shutting off the pity.
