CHAPTER 29: BETRAYAL OF HER MATE.

“Come on, Lana. I can smell your scent and hear your heartbeat. Don't think that a few tree branches will safeguard you from me.” Katida licked the blood oozing from where Lana had cut her. Slowly, it began to heal. A mark will still be left there, as healing completely will take a full day.

Lana winced in agony when her broken arm accidentally hit against a tree. She almost screamed but held that loud shrieks of wordless sound in. She ran and ran without looking back. Her hearing scanned for Katida's footsteps. Hearing nothing, she exhaled, having lost her for a brief moment. Lana slumped against a tree, forcing herself to sit.

Her bleeding palm had completely healed still, but her arm remained the same. Suddenly, she remembered one of the things Elijah taught her about pain and healing. She had to trigger her healing if she wanted the arm to be okay. Lana took a deep breath and used one hand to tear the lower part of her pants, stuffing the pieces of clothing into her mouth.
