Chapter Twenty-One

I had forgotten that I had somehow asked Dacre to be my daddy in the pub, a slip of the tongue which I am not sure if I wanted to regret or not.

I turned beet red as heat pooled in my core and at the same moment, Dacre walked in too.

Our eyes met and I was red but my sister Talia completely misunderstood the reason for my embarrassment.

She came towards me hurriedly and rubbed my shoulders, “It's okay, don't worry”

Talia thought I was getting worked up due to my father’s scrutiny. In parts, I was but I had turned red for a completely different reason.

I tore my eyes away from Dacre as he walked into the villa through the massive doors that we had thrown open when we had dashed through the entrance to meet our parents.

Dad gave him a nod and he bowed in return.

“Greetings, alpha of the Bluemoon pack and Guardian of the north. I am Dacre Caldwell, son of Alpha Thaddeus Caldwell, from the Thornglass pack from the south.”
