Caleb's POV

I headed out and took some documents with me. It was the document that I was supposed to hand to the beta, and thereafter, I asked him to join me for a drink.

"We have lots of work to do. If we can get it done, then I might be able to accompany you for a drink." He hesitated.

"Alpha, I bought something for you both." It was my Beta's wife. She smiled, and then she dropped the breakfast she had prepared.

"Umm, Christine. Would you mind if I went for a drink with your mate?" I asked with raised brows, and despite all the signs her husband gave her, she still agreed to what I said.

"Babe!" He yelled, and she giggled and then left us to do some work.

"How could you make my wife agree to what you want?" He growled while going through the document.

"I guess she respects me more." I teased and continued doing our work.

We spent the rest of the noon working, and later that evening, we went to the bar where I drank like never before.
