I stood under the warm water with my head tilted back.

I kept my eyes closed as I heard the door open and Beatrice walked in to leave me a clean dress and take the one I wore the previous day.

I don't really know for how long I've been under the spray of warm water. My body was here, feeling the warmth of the water wash away the previous day. But my mind was elsewhere, showing me the few minutes I'd been in the presence of Raphael in his half shifted form.

Since he left me last night, all of my thoughts have been about him. The fact that he came to me like Beta Silver had when he was about to go completely feral was unbelievable.

The fact that he tore through the bars as if they were nothing just to get to me was also unbelievable.

When Beatrice came to get me breakfast this morning, the gasp she'd let out had echoed through the dungeons.

Her eyes had grown twice their usual size when she saw the damage made to the bars.
