Chapter 34: Over the Dead Bodies

As they looked at the dead bodies of the hunters, Sergio felt a twinge of guilt. He had always been taught that violence was a last resort, that there were other ways to solve conflicts. But in the heat of the moment, he had let his anger and fear take over, and now he couldn't help but wonder if there had been a better way.

Zavier, sensing Sergio's inner turmoil, approached him and nudged him with his nose. Sergio looked into the white wolf's eyes and saw understanding there. Zavier was always wise beyond his years, and he seemed to know what Sergio was thinking.

"Sometimes violence is necessary," Zavier seemed to say with his eyes. "We did what we had to do to protect our pack and our home. Don't let guilt consume you."
